What a new moon in Virgo means
With the Sun and Moon together in Virgo, this new moon opens a cycle of about four weeks that peaks at the full moon in Pisces on September 7, 2025. Virgo is a mutable earth sign ruled by Mercury; its keywords: precise, helpful, analytical.
Attention turns to detail, health and what needs fixing. People tidy, sort and critique, themselves first. Productive days for admin and small repairs; the risk is fussing over what is already fine.
The instant is the same everywhere; only the clock reading changes. Distances are centre to centre. There is no official supermoon definition: here a supermoon is a new moon with the Moon within 360,000 km of Earth, a micromoon one beyond 405,000 km. Computed with astronomy-engine, tropical zodiac.
