Computed with astronomy-engine, tropical zodiac. The instant is the same everywhere; only the local clock reading differs.
At a new moon the Sun and Moon are together and the Moon is invisible. It is read as the start of a cycle of about four weeks: a good time to set intentions in Leo’s themes. Leo is a fixed fire sign ruled by the Sun. Its keywords: generous, dramatic, loyal.
The cycle peaks at the full moon in Pisces on 28 August 2026.
This new moon falls at 20°02' Leo. Each sun sign meets it in a different house, counted with whole-sign houses from Leo. If you know your rising sign, read that one too.
5th house · romance, creativity and play
A new moon in your fifth house opens a cycle for creative work, romance and play. Start the project you would do for its own sake, say yes to a date or a hobby, and let yourself be a beginner. Enjoyment is the point here.
4th house · home and family
In your fourth house the new moon points at home and family. It suits settling a living arrangement, clearing a room, or starting a routine that makes home feel steadier. Emotionally, it is a quiet time to notice what you need to feel safe.
3rd house · communication and daily contacts
In your third house the new moon favours fresh conversations, writing, short courses and local plans. Send the message you have been drafting, sign up for the class, or start a daily note. Ideas planted now tend to grow through ordinary talk.
2nd house · money and values
In your second house the new moon starts a money-and-values cycle. It is a good moment to set a savings rule, price your work more honestly, or decide what you will stop paying for. Small, specific intentions work better than grand ones.
1st house · self and image
A new moon in your first house is a personal reset. It suits decisions about how you want to show up: a habit, a look, a way of introducing yourself. Start one thing that is plainly yours rather than waiting for someone else’s go-ahead.
12th house · rest and the inner life
In your twelfth house the new moon asks for rest and quiet before the next visible start. It is a good time to sleep more, journal, meditate, or close a habit you have outgrown. Less action, more listening; the new beginning comes after.
11th house · friends and community
In your eleventh house the new moon starts a cycle with friends, groups and long-range hopes. Join something, reconnect with people who share your interests, or write down what you want your life to look like in a few years.
10th house · career and reputation
A new moon in your tenth house sets intentions for career and public standing. Apply, pitch, or define the next step you want to be known for. Be concrete: one goal with a date on it beats a vague wish to be recognised.
9th house · travel, study and beliefs
In your ninth house the new moon opens a cycle for travel, study and the beliefs you live by. Book the course, plan the trip, or start reading about something that has been pulling at you. Broadening your view is the theme.
8th house · intimacy and shared resources
In your eighth house the new moon turns to shared money, debts and deep trust. Sort out a joint account, a loan or a tax task, and be candid about what you owe and are owed. Emotionally, it favours letting someone a little closer.
7th house · partnerships
A new moon in your seventh house starts a cycle in one-to-one relationships: partners, close collaborators, clients. It suits a fresh agreement or an honest talk about what each of you wants. Choose who you give your attention to on purpose.
6th house · work routines and health
In your sixth house the new moon resets daily routines, work habits and health basics. Pick one change you can keep for a month: a sleep time, a walk, a better way to handle email. Modest routines started now tend to stick.
