What a birth chart reading is

A birth chart reading is an interpretation of where the Sun, Moon and planets were at the moment you were born, read through their signs, their houses and the angles between them. A horoscope column works from one placement, the Sun sign, which you share with a twelfth of everyone alive. A reading works from ten placements plus the rising sign, and from the aspects between them, which is where the individual detail lives. The same Leo Sun reads differently squared by Saturn than trined by Jupiter, and no column can know which one you have.

That is also why the chart comes first here. Until the positions are computed there is nothing to read.

What you get

Six sections, each anchored to specific placements in your chart, about 300 to 350 words each and roughly 2,100 words in total, streamed onto the page in about a minute:

• The headline: what your Sun, Moon and rising sign do together, and the one tension or harmony the whole chart turns on.
• How you think: Mercury by sign, house and aspect. How your mind moves and how you come across when you speak.
• How you love: Venus, the seventh house and their aspects. What attracts you, what love asks of you, where partnership lives.
• Where you grow: Jupiter, the ninth house, what you believe and where you expand.
• Your edge: the tightest hard aspect to your Sun, Moon or rising. What it costs and what it teaches.
• The undercurrent: Pluto, retrogrades, the eighth and twelfth houses. The layer that runs underneath.

Before you pay you can add a focus, the question you actually want answered, and the reading is written toward it. Afterwards you get one follow-up question. Your chart itself stays free, downloadable as a PDF and shareable by private link, and the reading replays for 30 days.

How it is made

Two separate steps. First an astronomy library computes real planetary coordinates for your birth moment and place, using the Western tropical zodiac and Whole Sign houses; these positions are exact to the minute. Then a language model writes the six sections from a brief that tells it which placements each section must anchor to, which aspects to weigh by tightness, and what to leave out. How the AI part works, and what it cannot do.

What it leaves out on purpose: event predictions and dates. The reading describes character, tension and direction. It does not tell you when you will meet someone or whether to take the job. That is a deliberate line, not a limitation we are working on.

If you don’t know your birth time

You still get most of the reading. The Sun, Moon and eight planets by sign, and every aspect between them, do not need a time. The rising sign, the houses and the Midheaven do, and the reading simply does not claim them. What changes without a birth time, and how to find yours.
