What synastry is
Synastry lays one birth chart over another and looks at the angles between them: your Moon to their Mars, your Venus to their Saturn, your Sun to their Moon. Each contact is a specific claim. A Moon trine Mars says what one person needs to feel safe matches how the other moves and asserts; a Sun square Venus says what one is at the core rubs against what the other finds lovable. A synastry reading is the sum of those claims, weighed by how tight the angle is and how personal the planets are.
This is a different thing from Sun-sign compatibility, which compares two signs out of twelve. Our sign-pairing pages are the coarse view; synastry is the fine-grained one, and it needs both charts.
What the free comparison shows
A match score, two meters and a list, all computed, none of it written by hand. The match score (35–98%) combines how the contacts between you flow or clash, how your Suns, Moons, Venus and Mars fit by sign, and how strongly the charts touch. Harmony, one to five, is the balance of flowing contacts (conjunctions, trines, sextiles) against frictional ones (squares, oppositions). Intensity, one to five, is how much contact there is at all: some pairs barely touch, some touch everywhere. Under them, the tightest personal contacts by name and orb, so you can see what the meters are made of.
What the reading adds
About 1,600 words in five titled parts, written for the two of you: the core dynamic (including what drives your match score up and down), attraction and chemistry, where you don't match (two to four concrete mismatches and what each costs you), what holds you, and how to make it work. It does not tell you whether to stay. It tells you what the two charts keep doing to each other, so you can decide with your eyes open.
If one of you doesn’t know a birth time
Tick "unknown" for that person. Houses and the rising sign drop out for them, and if the Moon changed sign that day we treat it with care, but the planet-to-planet contacts, which carry most of synastry, remain. Two unknown times still give a real reading.

Questions, answered
Does it work for friends, family or colleagues?
Yes. Synastry describes how two charts interact; the reading is written for a couple by default but the contacts mean the same thing between any two people. Say so in the focus field and the reading adjusts its register.
Is the other person told?
No. Nothing is sent anywhere. You enter both sets of birth data, the charts are computed, and the reading is shown to you. Only the reading text is kept, under your payment reference, for 30 days so the link replays.
Do we get a compatibility percentage?
Yes. The free preview shows a match score between 35% and 98%, built from the flow and friction between your planets, how your Suns, Moons, Venus and Mars fit by sign, and how much your charts touch. Next to it are two one-to-five meters (harmony and intensity) and your tightest contacts, and the reading explains what drives the score up and what pulls it down.
Do we both need exact birth times?
No. Times make the rising signs and houses available and sharpen the Moon. Without them, the planet-to-planet contacts, which are the core of synastry, are still computed and read.
Can I get a refund?
The reading is generated the moment you pay and cannot be refunded once generated; you agree to that before the button. If a technical failure means no reading is delivered, contact us and we will fix it or refund.
